The process works using flexible clear trays that are specially created to fit your teeth. The whitening gel is then inserted into the trays before they are worn for specified periods of time as instructed by your dentist (this can be overnight or during the day).
The BlancOne® in-house whitening system typically whitens your teeth by 3/5 shades for an immediately brighter smile. The treatment is fast, painless, and effective with results in as little as 10 mins.
The first step is to come to the practice for us to check your oral health and assess your suitability for whitening. Once your dentist has approved this, impressions are taken of your teeth and are sent away for your bespoke trays to be created. These will given to you at your next appointment along with the whitening gels.
To begin the treatment at home, the gel should be applied to the inside of the trays as shown by your dentist. You should always brush your teeth before inserting the trays. Once in place, they should be tapped to ensure proper fit. A clean finger or brush should then be used to clear any away excess gel and the mouth rinsed. The trays should remain in place for the amount of time discussed with your dentist. At the end of this period, the tray should be removed and cleaned using water and a soft brush.
This can be for as little as 30 minutes per day, though the exact time depends on the strength of the solution you are using and the results you want to achieve. Your dentist will give you clear instructions on timings before you start the treatment.
The treatment is designed to be long-lasting and can last many years, though this can be affected by how well you look after your teeth. Good, regular hygiene and oral care will help keep your smile whiter for longer.
